Dunno about you but I can't stand Sky's "3 hours of build-up" style of coverage so here's the actual tee-off times for the Ryder Cup (Louisville is 5 hours behind us, all these times are coverted to British Summertime)

Friday
Foursomes: 1:05pm
Fourballs: 5:45pm

Saturday
Foursomes: 1:05pm
Fourballs: 5:45pm

Sunday
Singles: 5:03pm - 7:04pm

Attention all Fantasy Golfers..

The pairings for the 1st session are being announced at the opening ceremony so you've got time to ammend your picks before play starts - after that its keep your eyes and ears open to try to get things changed before play.

Come on Europe

16-12 to us.............................

Brilliant, can't wait.

My son starts school at 1pm and it is a five minute walk from home. Thought I would miss the first hour of Friday getting him ready.

I'll be on the sofa in time for ball one!

Please spare me old big ears... Suddenley I've got this mental picture of linniker, dressed up as one of the seven dwarfs... Doppey of course...rofl.

Think I'll stick to Sky, even though it means missing out on Peter Alliss & a few other of his cronies. But all said & Done, Boxy & Radar, are very entertaining on sky sports.

Viscount - you can change your picks between sessions (I think) so if you can find out the afternoon pairings as soon as they're announced you can make changes. I suspect most of us won't be able to change picks so we're going to have to rely on people like Westwood and Furyk who you hope will play all or most sessions.

Not really a level playing field as some will be able to keep tabs on progress and others can't.

Still its only a bit off fun...............

Had a look at the rules you cant make changes during play--

"After that, you can make team changes between days (not between foursomes and fourball sessions on the same day) in order to get the most out of your team."

what I was asking is the strategy to maximise points.
as I see it there are really only a couple of options.

If you have a 'banker' pairing - pick both so you score for both of them, disadvantage if the pair don't play the afternoon match
scatter picking - one from the maximum number of pairs but possibly more chance of one or more not playing both games (?)

BBC are covering highlights?!?! That's good news, for my liver. I don't have Sky so I was going to spend the weekend in the local watching it there!

Must be a new development for the BBC, last I looked it was only 5 live getting any coverage.
