I guess most people are like me, still in shock that Europe managed to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. One of the all time great sporting achievements of recent memory.
But what about the players as individuals?
Poulter - The guy is just a different animal from the regular week in, week out tour player. He was both inspired and inspiring.
McIlroy - Massive expectation on young shoulders and did well to deliver 3 points. Great win to take out Bradley in the singles, the in-form yank.
Colsearts - Single handedly carried Westwood to victory against Woods/Stricker in Friday 4balls but then went missing. Disappointing.
Garcia - Another Poulter, inspired by the RC and delivered a huge point against Furyk, another US dangerman. Would be in my team every time.
And some of the US players
Mickelson - Great oerformances with Bradley, perhaps a surprise they were rested on Saturday afternoon. Showed his class as a sportsmen, genuine applause for Rose every time he holed a big putt in the singles.
Bradley - Perhaps the surprise of the US team, good player but possibly even overperformed in the first 3 sessions. Painful to watch though with all the fidgeting over every shot.
Woods - Love him or hate him, classy gesture to concede Molinari's putt on the 18th. That was potentially the difference between a European win or a draw.
Kuchar - If there is a malicious bone in this guy's body I have yet to see it. Don't be mislead by making Westy hole his short putt to win, I'm pretty sure it was more of a 'fill yer boots son' type of gesture than anything unsavoury. The guy plays the game in the spirit that it should be played and never stops smiling.
I've not mentioned the captains yet and there were loads of other great performances throughout the week, please feel feel to add to this thread.
