I have moved from Sky and a bit gutted that I will not be able watch the Ryder Cup but all is not lost as I have noticed that through NOW TV you can get a 7 day Sky Sports Pass for £10.99 (special price until november) which I think is very resonable as a one of cost. Gives you access to all the sports channels for 7 days.

Yep, I'm having to go this route too. Which is very frustrating as it's against my principal of not giving money to Sky but unfortunately there's going to be no other way to watch the Ryder Cup. Frustrating.

sounds very reasonable, is that in HD as well?- Golf is so good in HD, cant watch a blurry ball in SD anymore.

We pay for Sky sports all years for the one off events that we really want- neither of us care much about football.
This day pass is a good idea

The 7 day pass sounds perfect to me. Have Now TV on my Roku box and upstairs onvthe Xbox so can move around if my wife wants the TV

For myself i had my parents Sky go for free with bt sports app on my Galaxy Note through giff gaff PAYG. Cost me 12 quid a month and my other half could watch all her guff on tv. Had a HDMI cable as well so i could watch it on the telly too.

Unfortunately Giff Gaff are stopping their unlimited internet, but if you have a mate with Sky, they can add 6 mobile devices to sky in total for an extra fiver or so a month.

Hi buddies! I would really appreciate it if someone that has guaranteed access to the Sky Sports 2014 Ryder Cup coverage on his TV set could contact me privately. I am not from the UK and I want some info. Thanks a lot!

Sky has stolen most of our sport, and then sells it back to us at extortionate rates. Furthermore it supposed to be subscription service, but still subjects you to hours of adverts!

I'm happy with Sky and don't mind the ads (I use Sky+ and pop out for a ciggy every 15 minutes).

Agreed. Love Sky Sports and all it has to offer. Watch the golf channel all the time. Sky+ also brilliant to record stuff (for HID and all her soaps).

I've got Sky Sports - subscribed for the golf and EPL. Former for me - latter mainly for my lad when he was at home and to watch on SkyGo when at Uni. But he's now left uni and moved to Sheffield - so home EPL watching not required for him - and doesn't watch it any more on SkyGo as he'll go to pub in Sheffield to watch it with his mates.

And so I think I'll cancel Sky Sports and sign up for the 7 days pass for the RC and for whenever I might want to watch something,

Rubbish. The quality and quantity of golf coverage has improved immeasurably with Sky. You should be criticising the BBC which lost interest in golf years ago. Their Open coverage used to be by far the best weeks golf in the year, but not any more.
