Well after the spiteful Real / Barca footie game during the week it was great to watch two storming games of rugby today where all four teams smashed the bejaysus out of each other without any cheating, diving or rolling around on the floor feigning injury, and showing respect towards each other at the end. Their footballing counterparts should take note.

Even as an ardent Quins fan, I didn't give us much chance to beat the mighty Munster at the fortress that is Thomond Park, but the boys were immense and fully deserved the win. Hopefully the start of big things for Quins over the next few years - if you can go to Limerick and win, then you can go anywhere.

And for that game to then be followed by a cracking Leinster and Toulouse game, couldn't ask for a better day of rugby.

Well I watched the Quins game today, and I thought what a game, Action pack game, Much better then any football game.

Well Done Quins!!! Can't remember was that the Semi and now your in the Final!! Is that correct???

That was the semi, we now face Stade Francais (who beat Clermont Auvergne last night) in the final at the Millennium Stadium.

Good won for Northampton today as well and also 2 really entertaining Champtionship play off games. Sadly neither of the winning teams will be promoted as their grounds are not up to standard and they did not even ask to be audited. Still all entertaining viewing sport how it should be played, hard but fair.

Rugby fans like rugby, football fans like footie, trying to knock one and promote the other is a fairly pointless exercise imo.

Football will always be the world game, rugby is more regional i.e in Australia and France it is only played in certain parts.

They're both good sports, just different, let's leave it at that.

Making out rugby players are squeaky clean is plain daft, most professional footballers do show sportsmanship and shake hands at the end of a game.

I think it is more clear cut in rugby when a foul is committed - offside, high tackle, forward pass etc, football the fouling is more difficult to see - subtle push, tap on the ankles etc.

Rugby is also using video technology for decisions, football isn't, that would make a huge difference to football but they don't want to slow the game down by stopping all the time for referrals to slo-mo tv clips.

I enjoy a bit of Union but the amount of time taken faffing about over penalty kicks is tedious, just gives the fatty forwards a breather! ;)
