After God knows how many years of telling HID not to get me any gimmicky golf pressies.... A DVD of 3 golf legends, inc one I'd rather walk over broken glass than watch, and a golf book of snippets about all the golf legends going back into the mists of time. I'm not fussed that Young Tom Morris beat Old Tom Morris in 18whatever...

Golf gear, yes. Golf gimmicks, no no and thrice no.

The potty putter, table top crazy golf and a tethered ball that I'm supposed to hit in the garden, one driver and I doubt it'll be tethered any longer.

Got a pair of glasses that help you spot your ball in the rough. Told her I didn't need any since I don't go in the rough

The only golf related gift I got was two sleeves of titleist nxt tour s. Simultaneously the best and worst golf gift. I'm happy!

Got 6 Pro V1s off my cousin. On closer inspection both boxes were different, so I had a look at the balls. 1 box has Pro V1. 392(Feb 2001- Jan2003) on them the other has Pro V1-392(Feb2005-Jan2007) on them. I checked the printing on the Titleist web site and that's what dates the balls were available. I am totally gobsmacked that someone should try and pass these balls off as new to someone who has played golf for years. HOW F++kING CHEAP IS THAT. Straight into the practice bag I think.

Got a Potty putter too, I normally read a mag but now I will be able to hone my putting skills while on the toilet

Mother in law didn't let me down! She's says "oh I got these golf balls from the charity shop for you while I was in town and there yellow" great there srixon range balls!! So probably get done for receiving stolen goods!
