As we move to winter teeing mats , I was just wondering wether anyone tries to use traditional tees in winter mats or use the rubber ones .

Personally I use the rubber type on the mats due to the fact that I have spent many frustrated moments trying to balance a ball on a traditional tee , get set up nicely then the blooming ball falls off!!

Depends on if the ground is frozen

Impossible to put traditional tees into the ground

Yes, they are those things that golfers ignore most of the year and when you are forced to use them they are rock hard ( frozen or not) and a source of torture for anyone daft enough to play in winter.

I know exactly what they are but thanks for pointing it out:thup:

I have had no issues so far using proper tees on our winter tee mats.

Use those little rubber things on string if mat or ground is frozen mate - they do the job

Had to use them in Cyprus years ago as well

I hope you realise these tees come in 3 different heights. Obviously you have been fitted for the correct one.................

Ughh rubber tees, unclean UNCLEAN!

Why not break wooden tees down to the right size? Rubber tees only suit those that hit up on the ball with irons as well as woods.
