Lovely golfing weather, Played another course. Played with a borrowed set of Callaway X2 Hot while my set is being modified post it's MOT. Had a half decent round, but the highlight was a surprising rub of the green.
1) hole 5, P3, 135y... Accidentally took a 8i and then pushed it right. Ball sailed past the flag on the right ... Only to hit the green side tree and kick back to about 10 feet to the hole.... Easy Par
2) h10' P3, 161y... Topped my 7i into the pond... Only for the ball to skim thrice and come out on the other side!!! Pitch & Putt for a par
3) H13, P4, 300ish y... Topped the 5w. We saw my 2nd shot with 4h splash into the water edge, only to bounce out and roll past the stakes!!! Pitch-putt-putt
Would have finished with my best ever round had I not blobbed the 3 holes.. I have had an odd good bounce, but never 3 in a hole incl getting out of water twice. I am in half mind about not returning the Callaways, may be trade my current sticks for this bag perhaps?
