Heading over to Northern Ireland to spend Christmas with the inlaws and clubs will be in the boot. Thinking of taking a ride up and making the most of the Winter green fee's at Portrush. Website says its £60 for the Dunluce or £25 for the Valley. To those who have played....Is the Dunluce that much better than the Valley and is it worth paying the extra ?

thanks

The Dunluce is a great course, not played the Valley but Jezz E tells me it is not that far behind, certainly not as far behind as the price suggests.

Kylie for 60 or Danni for 25, both good but surely you'd rather have the real deal?

If you want to tell your mates you played royal portrush then it needs to be the dunluce, that's where they played the Irish open. Imagine if PGA go ahead and pick portrush, you're sitting with mates, they ask didn't you play there and you have to answer no I played the wee course wouldn't pay the extra £35 to play the championship course!

I'd be taking the Dunluce, isn't easy to get on at other times of the year.

On saying that though 2 x round the Valley plus change for a few drinks would not be that disappointing.
