Just had confirmation that I will be playing there in a 'Help the Heroes' Texas Scramble in May so I am well chuffed as it is a course that has been on my radar for a long time!!

Any of the guys on here played it and if so what's the S.P. on it?

£50 a team is surely a bargain for a course that is always held in high regard, even better after getting bombed out of the Jubilee Course Open!! :D

Alan you guys will really like its a cracking course i've played it a few times with guys from work as i work not far from it.£50 is a bargain as i think its about £60 around at the weekend, pity about the Jubilee it will be me and gcd then

great track dodger , play it quite a lot, we have a inter - club match against them and i always make sure i`m on the list for the away game ,not always driver off the tee, fairways are a little more undulating than st.a`s and the greens are always in good nick . they`ve had a lot of problems with coastal erosion and have lost a couple of tee`s , watch for 16 th par 3 , one of the best par 3`s u`ll ever play , trevino rates the 17th in his top 18 holes in the world !! enjoy it mate it`s a cracker (not a good as jub open tho ;)

Only played it the once (36 holes quite a few years ago now) but we absolutely loved it.
Half expected to see the ghost of Old Tom Morris come walking towards us out of the mist it was that traditional.
If I was holidaying in that area again it would definitely be on the itinerary.
It loses it's "beauty" a little on the couple of holes on the way back in (if I remember correctly there were a couple of football pitches or waste ground on the right hand side) but other than that a great track.
Tough as old boots.

Its probably my 2nd favourite course behind Kingsbarns. Its a shame the coastal erosion has been eating away at it but they've resdesigned the 2nd fairway well to compensate.

£50 is indeed a deal!!

If time allows, a wee trip round the Broomie course would be worth it aswell.
