Just got in from a great day out. Brilliant to see some old faces and loads of newbies. The weather was great and we kept dry and the course played its full potential. There were scores to be had but go offline and the rough was penal.

A good round, decent grub and a prize giving (thanks to Mike and GM for their generosity). Some with long trips have headed off but Pedro turned up just before dinner and a number of the guys are still out there playing another 9/18.

I'm off for some dinner and I'll post later with the winners, mentioned in dispatches, the oh dears and Viscount's attire. However thanks to all the guys for making it an easy event to organise and for their co-operation on the day and hope everyone got home safely and enjoyed themselves

I'm disappointed too.

We had 20 minutes of torrential rain in North London today, around 2 30 ish. You mean to say you missed it? Damn. Waste of good water.

Thanks for a cracking day again Martin, also cheers to my group which was Redwood, Imurg and HawkeyeMS, they all made me feel very welcome and also helped me look for my golf balls in the rough a lot.
Best comment of the day I heard was from the starter, we were all stood on the first tee and he looks at us and says,'Which one of you is Midnight!!!'

Really good day , nice course and great company.

Cheers
Midnight...

Thanks Martin for a really enjoyable day and well organised too. Please pass on thanks to Golf Monthly for the prizes.
I thought the best points score on the par 5's and par 3's was different and a nice touch.

One of the highlights of the day for me was to see the look of absolute delight from Easeangrace when he won the best par 5 score. Well done Arran (sp).

It was really good to put faces to names and a pleasure to meet you guys :o :D

Thanks to Rob (Smiffy), Tim (TimBridle), and Arran (Easeangrace), for putting up with my trips in the rough, :o

Golfmmad.

Thanks too from me to Martin for organising another great meet. Hawkeye, Midnight and Redwood were great company all the way round and although none of us did ourselves justice the quality of the banter made up for it.

Apart from Hawkeye pipping me to the longest drive by 3 yards - 275 to 272 Ba***rd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Highlights of my pathetic 29 points were 2 chip-ins on the front 9 and 18 on the back 9 with 2 blobs - found some form from somewhere..

Unfortunatly my life is at an end. Big Bro Fragger took home the Nearest the Pin prize. The end is nigh, thank you all for listening, the rope and the chair await.

But I still beat him by a point.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to Smiffy, Chris and Tim for an enjoyable round despite the meltdown that was my game, and the occasional (regular) cursing.
I was thrilled with the best par 5's score prize, I wasn't expecting that at all. It kind of brought me back from the brink of what could have been a storm of negativity over my game. I'm feeling pretty positive now, it can only get better hey.
Great to meet everyone. Cheers for arranging that Martin.

I want more!!!!!! Martin, where's the write up!!!!!!!!!! It's not like you're a busy man with a golf tournament to organise, wife and job :D

Sounds like a great day. Couldn't make it this year but will hopefully see you all in 2011.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well All I can say is that Imurg obviously has the bulk and the brawn to compete in the longest drive part of the day, But he lacks the finess and accuracy required for the more delicate parts of the game.

No trophys for second place little bro :D

Actually I have no idea where that shot came from took an 8 iron on a 125 yard par3 and it pitched about 6 ft from the hole, popped out of the hole and ended 2 1/2 feet the other side.

And yes I 2 putted (Twit)

Wonderful day Great company Thanks to P1 Pete, Pokerjoke and Terry (Guest) for putting up with me

And great thanks to Homer for organising the whole day

Afterwards played 9 with Homer, JustoneUk and Gary (Poss Region3) apologies if incorrect, Thanks to James for his advice on bunker play.

All in all a great day

OI IMURG, WHERE'S YOUR TROTHY THEN !!!!!

Fragger

:p :p :p

posted on the arrange a game section 'cos I got there first.

but worth repeating the thanks to Martin for another top class event and to RA for a top class feed.

Great day out, thoroughly enjoyed my first ever competition once my backside relaxed and the memory of the tee shot off the first faded :o :o Thanks to the guys in my group; Fragger, Pokerjoke and Terry for making the remaining 14 holes an ejoyable experience.

I really enjoyed the after dinner 9 holes with Smiffy, CenturyG5 and Pieman, where I spent most of my time laughing at Smiffy.

Finally thanks go to Homer for organising the event, nice course and good grub.

Although I cant remember everyones names it was good to meet you all and look forward to the next one.

Cheers!

Homer,

just like to add my thanks for all your hard work in setting up such an enjoyable day. It was my first GM outing and I'm sure I'll venture out again, a good time was had by all and the course complimented the day nicely.

Thanks again.
