According to the Mirror, City are going to offer £25 million plus Rodwell.

Hahaha!

They might just get his big toe for that price.

Seriously gets on my nerves when these rags are constantly trying to sell our players to "bigger clubs"

Regardless of price it would be a bad move for him IMO. I'd like to see him stop at Everton for a couple more seasons at least.

Surely he'll see the danger signs of going to Citeh in the player apparently coming the other way. Look how well it worked out for Rodwell, and he was touted about as the next big thing.

Boz, would you take Rodwell back??

Doubt there's a better team to play for,for a young player than Everton. Good manager, competing at the top end of the league & you'll get game time.

Think Barkley would do well there alongside Toure and Silva - but City would need to pay a bit more

i heard before the world cup ( i posted on these pages) that he had been seen in Manchester with his agent and a representative for city, from all accounts he wishes to move,25m is about right and you can have RODWELL he is shocking,he came to us injured and is a waste of space, but we could use him to sweeten the deal we are trying to do for Stirling.

The football club ? That's the only Sterling you have a chance of getting

£25 million is about right!? Do you honestly think Everton let him go for that? Not a chance!

Martinez has said no players need to be sold for money reasons, the only players that will leave will be for footballing reasons.

I'd have him back but not at the cost of loosing Barkley.

Still think he could be a good player, just needs games and the right manager.

My mates friend is a football agent and thats the word going round about steling , one good season and they think they are made ................liverpool paying kids wages thats why he is going

The main problem these days with football is that there is no loyalty anymore, players are just out to get as much money as they possibly can.

Now before someone says said players are just trying to secure their future, you cannot tell me that earning 10 thousand a week, would mean they would have to live like a pauper upon retirement, and that moving clubs so they can earn 50 thousand a week means they can live comfortably.

I'll say it again there is no loyalty in football.

Is that Jeff Stelling?

Top buy, get him at the right age (mid-fifties) before the big guns come in (BBC,ITV) and before he peaks, who has the sunbed sponsorship covered?

Damn beat me to it! :)

I honestly can't see Sterling leaving Liverpool this summer either, I'm not sure what type of contract he is on but I'm sure Liverpool like Everton with Barkley will be working behind the scenes to give them a nice new contract.

I might be wrong but I thought Sterling signed a long term contract last season.

but back to the the OP. Biggest mistake ever I think. Who would he play instead of? He will want to play in the middle, so that means dropping Silva or Toure. Stay at Everton and play a full season, not sit warming the bench at City, as that is what I believe will happen for the first season at this stage in his career.
