Going upto Aberdeen for a golf comp soon and we're stopping off for a round of golf near Dundee. Is the Rosemount at Blairgowrie any good? If not, any better ideas on the area?

Many thanks

It's superb and we'll worth the visit.

If you're staying the night there's a nice little b&b over the bridge in the village near a cracking boozer called "The Cartwheel" sample it ;)

Played Rosemount a few times during our visits in the 90's. Beautiful course. Landsdowne is a bit "meh".
Agree with Hobbit re Alyth. Slips under the radar but a very nice course in beautiful surroundings. Some cracking golf holes.

Notwithstanding the fact that the Rosemount is a lovely course, it's a long way from Dundee! Plenty of really good (mainly links) courses a lot closer to Dundee!

Blairgowrie isn't that far from Dundee, 40mins maybe, and we'll worth the drive if you are playing Rosemount. It's a great course and should be on everyone's "to play " list.

The missus and I used to stay at a hotel on the same road as the golf course iirc. Last I heard was it was turned into a retirement home, real shame as we loved it there.

Rosemount and Landsdowne are cracking courses, Blairgowrie is 25 minutes drive from Dundee. I play at Scotscraig which is 5 minutes drive over the Tay Road Bridge, if im of more than welcome to a game there.

Rosemont is in excellent condition at the moment. I played today at 11.30 and there was hardly a soul to be seen. Lansdowne last week was in great condition too.
If you are travelling to Aberdeen you can go via the A93 from Perth to Aberdeen and pass through Blairgowrie. It is a much more spectacular and scenic route than the A90.
