Just proves the grass is not always greener.

Certainly looks like he's in a hole that he can't get out of at the moment. Whether it's the pressure of such a big expectations or something deeper in his head it's messing up his whole game and it's going to take a lot to get it back.

Its not the kit or the money or the management although Im sure it isn't exactly helping changing all that in one go. Im sure he is big enough to handle that and hes been a star now for a long time believe it or not....so Im sure the pressure thing is not as big as people think. I do think he is def mentally knackered at the moment which is sometimes worse off than a normal injury. Confidence has gone and these guys thrive on confidence it is a huge part of the game for us and them! Personally I would suggest he needs to back off, take his time lower his expectations (maybe he has but we haven't), relax and just enjoy the game again. Form is temporary, class is permanent. ;) He'll be back in the future he too good not to be.

What Rory needs is a Forum meet, with Smiffy calling him a knob every 10 minutes, Murph showing him just how bad you can play golf with Nike equipment.........and JustOne offering him his thoughts on his swing for 3 hours in the car park! :D He'll be back winning majors in no time!! :whoo: :whoo:

He needs to go back to Ireland, have lots of booze with his mates, play some golf with his mates & Dad for a few quid, and learn to love the game again.

Think he sees himself as above that. Perhaps that might be significance when viewing his problem!

I think he has been poorly advised, poorly coached and guilty of having his head turned by Nike and the lure of filthy lucre. What he does next is anyones guess. I would hope he gets sorted, whatever that takes, and that he gets back to major winning form. I don't know it will be any time soon I'm afraid

Would you have stuck with Titleist & turned down the mega £ deal with Nike if you were in Rory's position?

Rory doesn't need money.

People who talk about him being too good to keep playing badly. Well I raise you Baker-Finch, Lyle, Seve etc etc.

Rory is a great kid, love watching him play and want to see him back at his best but I genuinely can't see that happening based on current form!

I think he needs to take the rest the year and the beginning of next year and forget golf. Just get away from it.
He's been trying to play through this slump but it's just not happening..

6 months off, re-evaluate and get his head back wbere it belongs then return with a new attitude.

What he's doing isn't working - ha has to try something else..
