Rory testing Scotties

I would guess he has a green light from nike already. There's no way rory would be seen using a competitors putter if it wasn't so

Rory won 2 majors with all Nike equipment so no fault there, his putting was terrible in the last 2 majors this year, I watched his every shot and this is not something a new putter can fix.
He couldnt seem to read the greens with any confidence.

He struck the ball great from tee to green and if he works on his putting harder and he does start to roll a few putts in he will soon be winning again. Time will tell.

Yes, if his putting was as good as the ball striking, no one would be able to touch him

Think that appears to be the general consensus with the pros, as one of the magazines had done a poll amongst the tour pros and one of the questions was, out of Rory, Jordan & Jason, who is the most natural talent - Rory was the winner by a considerable margin and if he could putt like either of the others, he would be difficult to beat.

I thought a lot of players were exempt from using just one make and model as the putter is such a personal thing. As Nike have announced their intent to withdraw from the club market I can't see how they'd have too many issues with Rory trying to find something to get his spark back on the green

Rich Beem was telling a story the other week that Rory had a Scotty in his locker at the US Open, which I think was the week that Nike announced their withdrawal. So he has obviously been given a heads-up a few weeks ago.

Hope it makes him feel better about putting and he gets it back again.

He should consider trying an Odyssey putter. If, like me, you are not a great putter and Odyssey putter with an insert is easier to use than a Scotty!

It will be interesting to see who rory bats for. I understand him switching to nike as it was alot of money for a young pro. Enough to set him up for life. Will he follow the money and play for the likes of cobra or tm? Or use the titleist bats he's always liked?

Surprised he's there to be honest after the increase in cases of Lyme disease over the last couple of years in that area

Stay safe Rory & good luck with the putting
