Out on Friday. Anyone on the forum getting a copy and, if so, are most people on PS4 or XBox One. Have both so seeing which version will have the most forum members online

Greg - I'll be on PS4. I think it's out on Thursday, really looking forward to it!

Let me know if you go for the PS option and we'll get a game going :)

It's one of the games that's going to encourage me to buy an Xbox One, but I'm a little disappointed with the content available out of the box. Only 12 golfers, and 8 courses, it's hardly next-gen stuff. I'm sure it'll play well, but come on EA, give us something for our £45. The 12 golfers included are:

Rory McIlroy
Jordan Spieth
Rickie Fowler
Martin Kaymer
Ian Poulter
Keegan Bradley
Hunter Mahan
Brandt Snedeker
Miguel Angel Jimenez
Jason Dufner
Patrick Rodgers
Jonas Blixt

No Day, no Bubba, no Scott, no Kuchar, no Mickelson, no Woods, no Sergio, no Furyk, no D Johnson, no Stenson, so so many of the Top 20 in the world golf rankings are missing, yet Rodgers and Blixt get in :/ Weird. Then, for the courses, we get:

Chambers Bay
TPC at Sawgrass
St. Andrews
Whistling Straits
Bay Hill
TPC Boston
Wolf Creek
Royal Troon

Not a lot there really. No Augusta this year as the license has run out, so only 3 of the 4 Major venues. I'm sure EA will provide a load of DLC, but the chances of it being free are very slim, and so unless you're willing to splash out even more money on top of the overpriced game, you're stuck with a very limited amount of content. Hopefully next year will be a bit better!

Not just EA. DLC is being used to stop people trading in as EA get no money from second hand sales but if people keep their copy for the DLC, free or otherwise, they are likely to get more from sales of new games as there are less on the trade in market.

Had been thinking about getting it on PS4, but the overall lack of content is a bit off putting. As others have said it seems to be EA's remit these days to strip their base games back and then bring them to where they should be by charging more for DLC.

I'll be getting it for Ps4 to replace the awful The Golf Club. Nothing has quite captured the golfing mahem in my household since PGA Tour Golf II for the Sega Megadrive.

I remember PGA Tour Golf for the Megadrive! One Christmas we had a lot of family over and all the blokes sat round playing it, kids to adults, it was amazing to play golf on TV! I seem to remember taking a shining to Fuzzy Zoeler... as a kid his name caught my eye!

Brother in law has the demo of RM Golf on Xbox one... you can get some "strange" characters too, including a Battlefield Soldier and Old Retired Floridians!

This doesn't sound good. I'll be waiting a few months for a patch/plenty of DLC. Just nothing in it ATM, not enough content, and it doesn't even look that amazing graphically.

Yes my brother who is a seriously avid gamer told me to hold off until I see it in the preowned section and he loves golf games.

I am out for the time being as well having read the review on Metro.

Serious lack of content. I was not as worried about less licensed golfers and actualy 12 courses would not be too bad but many other modes are missing (used to love multiplayer battlegolf) as well as the career mode being cut down to next to nothing. Until I hear about DLC, what features will be added and whether it will be free or require a season pass I am going to skip this one.

Back to Arkham knight for me.
