Apparently he almost withdrew after round 2 in South Africa because of a back problem, it's no surprise that he has pulled out but hopefully it's only a precaution and nothing too serious.

Report this morning says that it is a cracked rib. An independant back specialist (not necessarily the people that are treating Rory) says that this kind of injury is rare in golfers and usually heals itself, but takes about 6 weeks (http://www.golfchannel.com/news/gol...pecialist-mcilroys-injury-rare-golfers-011616)

His back is obviously already troublesome with all the gym work he has to do to avoid injury. Cracked rib is a disaster - got one last year after crashing at go karting. Takes ages to go 8 weeks at least for me.

Probably done it in the gym lifting heavy weights!! Also injured last year playing footy. Tiger injured through flaying 9 iron!! Another golfer injured the other year on the ski slopes. Why can't they just play effing golf?

It was the new odyssey #1 o works but he had it chromed rather than the black and white that's the retail version when it comes out next month

Not quite, too long front to back to be a #1 and rounded edges at the back make it look like almost a mix between a 1W and a #9.
Isn't anything offered in the retail O-Works yet from what I can tell
