I wouldn't imagine he'll be "match fit" for four rounds in any event.

The was explodes through the ball could leave long term damage if it goes wrong. Yes it's a high profile event but in that position I wouldn't be rushing back!

Saw a video of him hitting driver on Sky golf. Good that he can do that pain free but my concern would be the amount of walking he'll have to do on top of the strain he'll be putting on it and whether it'll be strong enough to last four days

I agree. Plus it is entirely different hitting a driver "in the heat of battle" than on the range- well it is for most of us!
Hope he doesn't play unless he is completely sure he won't exacerbate the injury.

I think the other video they played on sky with him throwing the medicine ball while balancing one legged on a wobbly pad was more telling. If it was still a problem then there's no way he would have been able to do that.

Whilst I would love to see him compete sooner rather than later, it would be heartbreaking if he broke down again and done himself long term damage.
