Well? What do you all think? I say that the arrogant little b****** should be sold ASAP. In the last few days he's shown the world that he may be good but is far from being the best. Come on SAF, take the money, show the slimy t*** the door and good riddance!

I agree. Tell Real to make an offer, then demand for double what they say. If price is agreed then throw his stuff into the street and tell him to get stuffed!
United hold all the cards in this instance

I wouldn't say he is FAR from being the best, but admit and agree that he isn't the best player in the world at the moment. If Madrid are willing to pay £75 million I would certainly sell him because SAF could invest that money in a string of players that would be far more beneficial to the team than one player could ever be. I have nothing against Ronaldo but I do feel the way he has openly said that he doesn't wish to commit himself yet is disgraceful and if man utd fans can accept having players play for them that are willing to jump ship at the first call then that's up to them but I wouldn't want players with that attitude playing for my team. Loyalty is essential it's just a shame it is rarely found now.

Regardless of any off pitch exploits though he is still a great footballer, and one of the best in the world.

I agree, the ungrateful, mercenary git should be shown the door. When he came to Man U he had potential but was essentially a one trick pony. United have developed him into the player he is and this is the thanks they get. I am not a Man U fan but the lack of gratitude to a club who made him the player he is is astounding.

How much of what is being quoted has come from Ronaldo himself??? It is always worth knowing as so many times things are claimed by "a source close to..."

I do however believe he does want to leave, If I were united I would let the little fooker rot in the reserves or youth team for 3 years, they can afford to do so and somebody does need to take a stand on things like this sooner or later.

As a Utd fan i would sell him but only if i got a straight cash deal-£100M- no bargaining--no player exchange, no part payment, no deferred payments.

However i do not believe Madrid want to pay cash, hence the previous Madrid statements that Robinho, Ramos and others plus some cash would be offered.

As Man ure own his registration I would let him rot in the stands and play him in the reserves until his contract runs out, who might want him after four years of nothing. Give the power back to the clubs who pay the wages.

As a United fan, I say let him go. Sod it. He's not commited to the club, why pay his wages. Tell real madrid they can have him for 100 million, he's not worth that, no one is, but if they are that desperate, then they'll pay it. If not, they'll bugger off.

I totally agree squire. The players now have too much power which means a contract is a useless piece of paper. It would be nice if a club would be willing to show some bottle and assert their authority over the players. On the other hand Utd have treated other clubs the way Real Madrid are now behaving. Carrick, Tevez and Ferdinand to name but 3.

Lot of naivety on display here.
Man U created the poor little rich spoilt brat that is Ronaldo (and he's not the first) and are now reaping the reward for it.
agree with evita, ManU have treated other clubs this way but don't like it when it happens to them - tough.
Most of the £75 million will go to service the Glazer's debt not on new players.
What's the point of keeping a non-playing Ronaldo, paying a fortune in wages, inevitable court costs, and then running down his potential value to the club? Ego, that's all.
loyalty to a club mostly means that the player doesn't have much of a future (or can't get a big enough pay check) elsewhere.

Fergie never tolerates a loose canon in his squads who think they are bigger than the team - I'm thinking Stam, McGrath, Beckham, Van Nistelrooy, all of 'em out the door when they got too big for their boots. Ronaldo WILL be next...take the money ManU.
Ronaldo looked a bit ordinary in Euro 2008 because he wasn't surrounded by players who are a gulf in class higher than their opponents, which is generally the case when ManU play.
Fergie always finds new talents as good as their predecessors.
Ronaldo has won everything he can with ManU at 23. Can't blame the lad for wanting to play in Spain, culturally it's far closer to home for him and a fresh challenge.
Manchester or Madrid? Hmmmmmm

Ronaldo's stock will never be as high as it is now. If, as is quoted in some tabloid newspapers Real are willing to pay £80m then they should sell him and invest in 2 or 3 other quality players.
He is a great player but if he doesn't want to be at old Trafford next year then his performances will reflect this.
They may have him sitting in the stands but I doubt it. It is a point of principle but I would say to hell with him. Either that or sell him to Barca for less. :D
If Real really want him, I would demand cash! no installments, no player exchange, no performance related bonuses, just hard cash, see how serious real really are.

I'm sure S.A.F. will have the last say but I can't see him having someone in the dressing room who doesn't want to be there.

Atticus that is superb. I have forwarded it to 32 people mostly man u fans who I am sure will appreciate it. Hats off to the guy who made it, genius to use that piece of footage to make his subtitles for.
