I dont think anyone is shocked anymore about all these "celebs" from the 60's to 80's.
I suspect they were all doign disgusting things back then and i hope they catch them all and sling them all into jail

Not sure it's fair to say all celebs were doing it. That's some serious generalisation.
Another piece of childhood ripped to shreds forever. A shame but I'm glad justice has been seen to be done. I wonder what the sentencing will be on Friday. Will his age be taken into account?

Very much agree with this. On the radio today, someone was making out that one of his horrendous acts was that he touched a womans bottom whilst in a pub. Whilst some of his crimes may have been truly horrendous, this wasn't really one of them.

I heard one victim explain how, when he was standing between herself and another lady at a formal reception of some sorts for him, he ran his hand down the middle of her back and let it rest on top of her buttocks - he did say something pretty naff and a bit sleazy along lines of 'nice eh?' But the predatory behaviour of a paedophile? Hmmm.
One thing important that she did say was that if it had been any old Joe she would have slapped him (really?) but that as they were in a formal reception for him, doing so would have been very embarrassing for all present. So she didn't. And that bit certainly does exemplify how celebrity status means you can get away with stuff you might otherwise not. And this is at the root of how Savile and Hall 'got away with it' for so long.
