As a side note I remember watching him play for QPR when they played Charlton at the Valley, he was brilliant that day,what a great talent,the Charlton fans were chanting "Rodney is a fairy" he was lapping it up ,stood still with the ball and waited for two defenders to come to him and waltzed by them making them look fools.

Fair play to him. To his credit, Stoke were sill playing in the style of Pullis so it was unlikely.

They joined together to do a 'roadshow' in the late 80's... Went and saw them at The Beck [local theatre]... Good night out... Some great stories from both of them...
