So just wondering who on here has a set and how they are getting on with them. I have been looking at them myself and just wanted to know what you think of them.

I have been looking at the specs on them and I see that the 3i is the same specs as my 2i. Are you finding that they are going 1 club further than your previous set, or due to the height that they hit the ball the lower loft is just making them go the same distance.

I am very interested in hearing what experiences people have of them please.

Hit the tour version and loved them but the lofts seem too strong. Tempted by the Callaway forged instead.

The strong lofts do not bother me as I would prefer them as I like using a 2i instead of a rescue, so I am wondering if the 3i would actually replace my 2i. The option is to get them de-lofted to give me the equivalent to a 2i.

when you put it like this I have to wonder how you think anybody else's opinion/experiences can answer your question?

unless you hit the 3i you can't possibly know the answer.

The lofts are not that bad. The Pitching wedge is 47 degrees and the 6 iron is 29.5 degrees.

That compares to 45 and 29 in both the Mizuno JPX Pro and Ping G25 and 45 and 27 in the Callaway X Hot Pro.

From what I've seen they are having differing results! Jimbob is flying and darth's game has fallen apart!

Seems what you are saying is that it's not the clubs!

As Duncan posts, the only proper thing to do is try them.

Can't see the point of even thinking about what the lofts are. Hit them and see how the feel and look. Normal ones have little feel for me and look too chunky.

Howdy!

Yup I have them and are absolutely loving them. I previously had Ping S59's/58's and thought I really liked them but these are much more suited to me.

In terms of distance and lofts, Ethan is right in that they're not too different that most current sets. I did try the standard Rocketbladez and hit them a mile, the 7 iron was a good 15 yards further than my old one. However, they went so high that I just didn't feel like I'd be able to play them in the wind.

I don't have the same issue with these. They give a lovely, penetrating ball flight and plenty of stop and control on the short irons. The longer irons seem a lot easier to hit, partly due to appearance and partly due to the forgiveness I guess.

In terms of feel, I thought I really wouldn't like them, and that they'd be hard and click-y, but they're not. Feel really solid off the face and when playing a decent ball feel as good as anything I've played with (apart from perhaps my old Ping Eye 2's ...)

Big all round thumbs up from me and happy to go into more detail / answer any other questions if you wanna drop me a PM

Had a go at American golf today on the range with the Rocketbaldez TOUR.

Being your typical range balls and a the range being uphill I hit a few balls with my 7i at the 150 marker which all landed roughly around it as I expected. Then it was time to get the Rocketbladez TOUR on the go. Hitting at the 150 marker, the ball was still climbing when it got there and I estimated it landed about 10-20 yards past it, but difficult to see due to the brow of the hill.

So I decided to take aim at the 200 yard marker off to the right that has a green on the same line, but at 150 yards. So I now hit 10 balls on this line, every single one cleared it by a good 20 yards. So I am estimating I was carrying a 7i about 170 yards uphill, with a range ball in the rain. The distances these clubs hit the ball is outrageous, so much that I am getting the AW just so I have something that resembles a PW in my bag.

Seen impressive distance with 7 irons of these before a pro was carrying it 195.
Only thing with AW it's not got the slot so will it still go as far as a normal PW?

Glad you like them mate.

I tried them a while back and wasn't very impressed unfortunately. Really not a Dan of the kbs shaft though which may have something to do with it.

You got a 2 iron I hope....;)
