Rocco's Bag

Just got this months Todays Golfer (yes i know, im sorry), looking at what rocco plays with and was surprised to see him using cally x22's, not the tour versions either.
so what do we think, are more pro's using cavity's rather than blades or mid/compact size irons?

Have a look in Golf World this month. They have a very interesting article about players moving away from blades to more forgiving clubs.

Blades will never fade out completely but there is definetly a move towards the top players using cavity backs for their long irons.

The Pro's have been using cavity backs in their long irons since the years when having a PING Eye 2 1 or 2-iron in your bag was derigur (sp?)....I would say virtually all have a 2/3 iron cavity back club in their bags but only a few seem to need to use them for the whole set but it tends to be the ones who need all the help they can get....

I saw Monty once with a full set of original Big Bertha's in his bag, which to be honest shouldn't even grace an 18 handicapper's bag....

Is it not the case that nobody has ever won the open using a set of cavity back irons.
