Well with the passing of Paul Daniels and Ronnie Corbett, the good Lord God is going to be well entertained.

RIP Ronnie and thanks for the laughs

I'd like to say it's a big loss.........

OK, I'll get my coat

Seriously though, very sad loss, the guy was a comic genius. Always came across as a genuine guy too.

I didn't find him funny when I was younger. I was always waiting for his monologues to finish, sketches the same. Now when I see them repeated I appreciate how good he was. Very clever comedian/actor.

RIP - still think the four candles is one of the best sketches !!

A Ronnie Corbett golf joke:

For some time, my wife’s had this ridiculous idea that I’m playing too much golf.
Actually, it came to a head at about 11.30 last night.
She suddenly shouted at me: ‘Golf, golf, golf. All you ever think about is bloody golf!’ And I’ll be honest, it frightened the life out of me.
I mean, you don’t expect to meet somebody on the 14th green at that time of night

I did like the sketch he did with Ricky Gervais in Extra's where they were scoring coke off of Moira Stuart! Great to see iconic people have a sense of humour about them selves!

Sad loss! A very funny man.

Such a shame - I too could take or leave some of his individual stuff - but Sorry! wears not too badly and rather fits well with him.

And an excellent foil to RB - who I was watching yesterday evening on a Terry Wogan Interviews clips programme. As RB said - their Two Ronnies format worked great in the pilot and first episode - so they kept it for all the years it ran. The timing of their interplay was just brilliant - better I think than Eric and Ern - a pairing that depended upon the genius of Eric.
