What H was a TV presenter who has sadly passed away?

Holness.

Loved Blockbusters, was hooked on it growing up and Bob made it special. Thanks for the memories Bob.

In later years the kids were sniggering when they asked for an E. I wasn't a kid when blockbusters was on, but still loved it.

Seemed like a nice bloke, and I think he was the first person to play James Bond, albeit on the radio.

RIP Bob

Driving home from the course I heard the sad news and said out loud "can I have a P please Bob"

His family have said he passed away quietly in his sleep - that saying always chokes me for some reason.

RIP :(

Exactly the same thought that I had when I heard the news... Very sad.. I always watched it when I got back from school. Some friends of mine went on the show and did quite well if I remember correctly...

I have been watching it on challenge lately with my kids, was great back then and still holds up today

RIP

I prefer the rave version from back in the day 'I'll have an E please Bob' :P

I think we should pay a tribute to Bob Holness with a special forum game of blockbusters. I'll kick it off.

What K describes Smiffy?

Whoever guesses right sets the next question.

A lovely man by all accounts, born and bred where I live and went to the same grammar school as my son. No one has a bad word for him.

I always believed he was originally from South Africa... Well, certain thats what friends from that part of the world have told me...

Sorry, yes was born South Africa then soon moved to UK, but certainly lived and schooled in Ashford Kent from a young age.
