So played in my first 4BBB yesterday and it was windy, my ball flight with the driver is ridiculously high, I mean 6 iron high,as a short term solution I need a seriously low lofted driver to offset whatever the hell I'm doing.
I'm going to work through a series of lessons through the winter focusing on getting my ball flight down.
In the mean time I recon I'm adding 4 or 5 degrees of loft at impact, would a 7.5 degree driver work for this, my thinking is the lower loft with the dynamic loft I'm putting on it anyway would probably turn it into a 11 degree driver anyway.
fwiw I was launching it at 19 degrees with the driver on trackman spin rate 3200,ss 90mph

You'll probably just slice the hell out of a 7.5. Try teeing it higher and hitting softer rather than wasting money on a club.

All my shots go stupidly high. nice when you are trying to stop ball on green - bit annoying when you are trying to get decent length with the driver.
Lesson from pro told me that it is caused by the same thing that causes my slice- I tend to have the club face a little too open on impact which can add loft to the club. i am trying to square up face a little better and it is helping a bit.

I don't think it works that way if I recall correctly.

I had the same issues since I started golf and only recently figuring out how to swing a driver properly. I was hitting with a huge negative AAA and creating circa 4500 rpm spin!!!

I was told that lowering the loft would only allow side spin to become more of a 'undesirable feature' of my swing!!!

Out of interest, have you tried some impact tape on your driver at the range? Are you hitting the middle of the face?

It may surprise you to know not taking the wind into account you will carry it 4 yards shorter by dropping you launch angle 4 degrees. It may not run as far but that's not always a bad thing.

I suffer the same - driver tends to fly higher than any other club in the bag (and they all tend to fly pretty high! In my case it is down to a flip rather than a release. I can negate the effect with stiffer and higher kick point shafts. I have gone down to an 8.5 R510TP with speeder 757 shaft and don't have any real trouble with the loft giving me side spin.

I get no run at all! Maybe 7.5 is a bit drastic more 8.5,I do tend to hit my driver out of the middle.
Do you think AG would do a swop? The guy who sold it to me said it was my swing issues which were causing the high ball flight and to be fair it is but I would have been happier with a 9.5

Get a lesson first! Its probably technique based as a 10.5 should still not balloon.

I would bet you are hitting up on it too much with active wrists, maybe even flicking?

From the numbers you've posted the only reason to lower you ball flight would be the wind. A tour player on flat ground gets 10 yards of roll with a 12 degree launch angle and less spin than you. If you launched at 12 degrees you would lose 9 yards of carry and maybe 4 yards roll. As I said in the wind the apex of your flight would be 110ft and they average 42ft, newtons laws of motion are on your side.... the elements are not.

Is it conceivable that a strong left hand can cause a high ball flight? Read Ben hogans 5. Fundamentals book again last night, and a quick range trip this morning with a weaker left hand grip had me striking the ball much better.
