no not that one...with the coming of the Masters on the BBC and the BBC winning back the rights to show the Grand prix i was wondering how much good will there is out there for the return of Steve Rider to the BBC. I must admit that Gary's presentation of the golf is woeful compared to Steve...i personally would welcome him back...what about you guys and gals...?

He was the epitome of a BBC sports presenter in the Frank Bough, Des Lynam mould. Professional and unflappable he could fill for two minutes if they lost the host pictures at Augusta.

Think he realised pretty soon after joining F1 that whilst the lure or the contract was too good to miss he wasn't really stretching himself. Sadly I think he has burnt his bridges at the BBC and so it will be the crisp muncher for the foreseeable I'm afraid

To quote(ish) from Homer on another post, 'we did this a little while ago'. Not that I'm worried, it keeps people coming back. I actually quite like Gary trying to fill the time, talk about awkward.
I have a suggestion, perhaps we should have the 3 mid life crisis team present the golf (Clarkson, Hammond and May). We know how much they love the game!
