The wind is pretty strong up here where i am today to be fair so i would imagine its a lot stronger up in Birkdale.

Yeah its blowing a fair bit but still think its been v poor (and im a fan of womens golf usually). US Open recently they moved tees and got the set up right for the standard of golf, feel this is set up too tough in the conditions. Pretty sure theres not been a single birdie shown in the last hour, and barely heard a ripple of applause from any crowd in that time either.
As for the BBC commentary trying to tell us a different story........

im not fussed about commentary as theres a lot to fill, but there has been little to cheer today as far the golf goes. Unless petterson holes out from the bunker....
The old drone Alliss saying 'oh Charles' as Hull was missing a putt says it all.
