Had quite a bit on my acc in the pro shop and having just got a new tour bag decided to get them to get me a trolley in.

Only requirement i gave them was for 3 wheels and they got me one in for the weekend. Took it out on saturday and im not really happy with it. The 3rd wheel is behind the bag if you know what i mean and therefore pretty close to the other 2. Once left alone the trolley tipped over quite a few times. Thinking its a bit too small for the bag i have.

Wondering if anyone has retruned anything to pro shops? the trolleys not faulty just doesnt suit me. Would they take it back? Would they be able to get a refund from whoever they got it from??

Pro shop or not doesn't really make a difference here IMO.

They seem to have got exactly what you asked for - it would be an amazing service if they did take it back, it is a 2nd hand trolley now after all!!

No idea if you can return it but have you checked it is properly assembled? I once encountered a gent on course who was cursing his newly bought folding trolley for just this reason & it turned out he hadn't folded the front wheel out.

Hmm, ill have a look but you could be onto something. The pro did assemble it for me but then its not like he had the instructions at hand....

Agree it would be amazing service for them to take it back. Its my fault if it doesnt suit me...

As I understand it, unless the item is faulty or is subject to distance selling (which it you had the opportunity to look at it before you bought it, it wasn't) then you are limited. The seller is under no obligation to take the item back, most big retailers will as a gesture of goodwill but legally they don't have to.

Still, it's worth asking in the shop as they may be inclined to change it if it falls over when unattended - it could be argued that it's not fit for purpose and be returned that way.

Mines a 3 wheel push trolley and it does make a big difference when the front wheel is tucked in rather than folded out as it should be. I would imagine this trolley would be a decent ish one? Cant imagine it being designed so poorly as it falls over.

Take it back, your pro shop have stolen it from Sports Direct!!!! ;)

Lol, you might be right!!

Its a spalding XT3, seen 2 photos of it online and one had the wheel outfront and the other behind. I cant see anyway of moving it and i wasnt given box or instructions (adding to the stolen from sports direct theory)

def sounds like the wheel isnt extended out.

I saw the 2 pics you refer to and one looks normal (out) but the one with the wheel set behind looks like its for transporting the trolley

I had a play about with it there and cant see anyway to move it. Maybe the pro got it in ikea and has missed a part out when building it...

looking at it the front wheel is either going to rotate on it's shaft (the frame/spine extension it's mounted on), or it's going to pivot in that area about 6" above the 'fork'.

whilst I would agree that you probably don't have any 'right' to return the trolley for another, or a refund, I think you have every right to return it to get it set up properly!!!

I also think you will find having the front wheel below/front of the bag will make a huge difference to stability

Not wishing to rub salt into woulds, but the trolley your pro has sold you looks poor. Out of all the choices of Powakaddy, Motokaddy etc the Spalding one looks pants in comparison. I would try to return and get one with a proper front wheel which works properly with your new bag.

I agree. They didn't have any in the shop and said they would get me one in. Sort of felt obligated when it arrived. Although apart from the tipping issues its not too bad.

Not boxed and with no instructions? I'd be asking him where the box and instructions are! You've paid him for it (albeit through your account), and I imagine you thought you'd be getting a new one, so why did you accept one "unpacked" so to speak?

Sounds a little iffy it it didn't come boxed and with instructions. I would have thought you'd have the right to a fully packaged one and the operating details as right unless you specifically agreed to buy it unboxed like you can do in Currys etc for display TV's etc

I got it and went straight onto course so having the box would have been a bit of a hindrance. As it was all setup I didnt think to ask for the instructions. I emailed shop last night to ask if they still have them.
