Can anyone please tell me the differences between these clubs before i invest in them, which club is used for which application?or are they the same ,just another sales gimmick?when i watch golf on the telly the pros seem to use these type of clubs, but i cant tell if they are rescue or Hybrid cllubs, but what would be best for me,im a 16 now down to 18 handicap...trying my best to improve...will these clubs help me?if so should i buy Rescue/Hybrids or what...thanks should i buy 15/18/21/23 degrees and which fairway wood do each of them replace?..thanks

Good question
In the old days you had fairway woods and irons.
Now you can have something in between.
It is a combination of the 2 and have different names....rescue, hybrid or utility. Its all the same thing.

They are designed to be easier to hit than long irons so...
15 degrees is the same as the old 1 iron
18 degrees is the 2 iron
21 is the 3 iron and so on

Your best bet is to try them and see which you hit the best.
They are very popular

Hybrids and rescues are the same thing and have iron length shafts and mostly smaller heads than fairway woods. Fairway woods tend to have longer shafts than Hybrids and bigger heads.

Rescue is a crap name for a golf club imo so I always call them hybrids, physiologically do you really want a club that is for rescueing you!!

Hybrids are hit and miss too me. In my opinion its vital that you get the right shaft as they balloon something useful!

Make sure you try a few and I'd advise a trackman session paying particular attention to rpm and launch angle, not just distance!

As above, I have the G15 Hybrid and while it is not the best looking product out there it is very easy to hit and get airbourne but make sure the shaft is right as they can balloon up in the air. Try before you buy.

what confused me is why some like like loaded cavity irons, (G15 i think is like this, and also the MP Fli Hi) and yet others look like old skool mini fairway woods.

I had a TM Dual Rescue which was the iron shape hybrid, but i also had a burner rescue which looked like a smaller version of a 5w. if like to know the difference between the 2.

I have the MP Fli HI 3 Iron and find it excellent. I've got the 2 iron also but that going in the for sale section , probably tonight.

Don't know but i'm old skool in my clubs. I've got driver, 3, 5wd, and a 7wd ;) which is my sort of hybrid. Then because I never used my 3-5 irons they've gone, and i've got 6-SW + 64* lob. oh and a flat faced puttery fing.
