Replacing Shafts.

Does anyone know of reputable, reasonable golf club builder/repairer in Lancs area who does shaft renewal replacement.7 in total?
Cheers.

I would check around the established clubs that have older pros, they will have been doing it for years. Used to be bread and butter for them at one time but not sure how many 'youngsters' will still do it.

If its Iron shafts then its a very easy DIY job and you dont need and specialist tools.

Worth noting that if it's iron shafts that you are replacing, it's very often less costly to find the desired setup on Ebay and sell your current ones. There's a lot of cost (because of the work) involved in swapping shafts for what can be 'little gain'! Not always possible of course and there's a bit of risk involved, just as there is in swapping shafts.

Cheers for that.Sounds good advice.Had a punt on some JPX 825's pro, got em for a steal. One hit wonders. Come with T/T DG s300's..Can get hold of some Dynalite XP r300's for 40 quid..(7 in total)...So was hoping could get a similar amount for current shafts when sold....Might see how the s300's go and take it from there..Would have probably been better spent on lessons eh..Currently got MP58's, with r300's..Going ok , but looking for that little extra forgiveness, that is why the interest in shaft change..Thanks again..Will give it a bit of thought..

the XPs are High Launch while the S300s are Low Launch. There's not a massive difference in weight, so it's only the stiffness - which may be over-stressed by many - that is significant. Unless you have trouble getting the longer irons airborne, I'd live with what's in them. Traditionally, you will lose a bit of distance, but gain accuracy!
