Evening good people,

I've changed my putting setup recently, moving my wrists higher to create a better angle between shaft and forearms (oooh exciting I hear you cry!), but this leads me to want to shorten my putter by 1, possibly 1 1/2 inches.

Problem is, I have a mid slim Superstroke grip on the putter, can this be easily removed and reinstalled without destroying the grip?

Thanks

Given how tight they are going on I'd guess you'll need to syringe solvent between grip and tape before using a LOT of air pressure(possibly to the point of being dangerous) to get it moving.

Mine is similarly longer than it needs to be, I just grip further down, far less hassle.

Depending on the shaft ( parallel tip ) it might be easier to cut it off the bottom as its easy to get the head off . Superstroke is very difficult to remove.

this is a doddle and i do it all the time, although i do have a special grip remover tool for it. i reckon you could comfortably do similar with a knitting needle (assuming you have a knitting needle around.

you should be able to prise the bottom of the grip away from the shaft where the grip tape doesn't come all the way to the bottom of the grip. dribble a bit of white spirit in and use the needle to slowly work the grip away from the tape. as you can get more of the grip away from the tape, pour in more white spirit and work the needle around the grip getting closer to the butt of the club each time. once you can get the needle to the butt of the club the grip will just slide off.

Cheers fellas, all done. Grip off by some air pressure device thing, putter cut to 32", then grip back on, bonzer! £3 in total. Very happy.
