Always had stiff shafts in my 3 wood and driver. Always thought whether regular would be better. Happy with my 3 wood distance but never seem to get enough out of the driver. Most shots with the driver are low trajectory with a slight slice (whereas I draw my 3 wood?). What can I expect from changing to regular?

Higher flight and less slice...

Umm, think I may make the change after your post and reading up online. Just wondered whether anyone else had dropped flexes and benefitted them?

That wasn't the case for me, regular flex hadn't snapped back due to my swing speed and ended up being de-lofted and inconsistent in terms of rights and left, the flight was also much lower than my stiff flex. Additionally getting a lot more distance presumably due to the higher and straighter shots.

This is from my game golf, g30 is a light regular flex shaft and GBB a heavier stiff flex.

Shaft weight and flex need to be considered together. If the weight is right, most players who play regular could get away with stiff and may notice relatively little difference, perhaps slightly lower flight and a firmer feel.

One of the modern fitting trends is to offer average players a ultralight shaft with a pretty stuff flex. A guy I know whose driver speed is around 100 got offered a 50g shaft in X flex. The idea was that the weight determined whether he could get the clubhead back to the ball, and the X flex was stable and mostly affected face orientation at impact.

If you hit the ball low and right when you go up a flex, sounds like you are getting out of your comfort zone and should drop back.
