Red Letter Day - Golf

I have a £200 red letter day voucher (long service award) burning a hole in my pocket.

Has anyone tried the golf days on offer. I,m looking at the PGA tuition day at the Worsley Marriot.

£129 for one and £249 for two people.

Maybe add £49 pound at take someone else along if its worth it.

I've done the same package at Marriot Hanbury Manor. It was pretty good value, mainly as ours included a full 18 holes on the course.

The tuition is a bit hit and miss as it's group coaching. Certainly there isn't enough time to make any meaningful swing changes but little pointers over setup are always useful. From the coaching side I found the tips on putting and course management to be of most use. Mine was a gift and I went with my Brother, it was a good day out and great to finish by playing 18 holes on a decent course. I'd certainly recommend it for any mid-high handicapper.
