Can anyone recommend a good pro-shop in Sussex? I'm looking for a well-stocked store that can offer reliable, impartial advice on buying a new set of irons. Bit fed up of the whole sales spiel from the American Golf Discount boys.

I live in Brighton but would be willing to travel (up to 25 miles) for good advice.

Cheers!

Go up to Silvermere. Region fitting centre for TM, among others. Launch monitors, massive pro shop, driving range, etc. Just off the M25 at the A3 exit towards London.

im with murph, the silvermere pro shop is mega. they come across as impartial and carry a hige range of pretty much everything.

Ive been to american golf on the A3 and A23 and both shops are piss poor compared with teh silvermere site. I buy all my clothing from there as do my mates. wasnt aware they had launch monitors tho....

You need to book a fitting to use the LM, but it is non specific, so you can just book a driver fitting, and sort out what driver when you get there.

Not in Sussex though, but near enough.

I could spend a fortune in there on clothes.

Some might say I need to.

thing is murph every time i go there i get a stonking deal on clothes. My last purchase was ashworth trousers. RRP Ticket price £69.95, 2 pairs for £45.00. Asworth shorts, RRP Ticket price £49.95 i paid about £20.00

by my workings i purchased £180+ worth of golf gear for £65.00 - BONUS""""""

Trouble is, I can't stop at spending just £65. I could walk out of there loaded down with shopping bags like an Essex girl leaving Lakeside.

Horsham Golf & Fitness do flightscope sessions and mainly custom fit stuff. The guy Mike who did my driver fitting was extremely helpful and the results flew in the face of almost everything I'd been told in AG etc.
