Recommendations for a 2 Fore 1 course around London

I’m looking for a recommendation for 2 Fore 1 course within an hour of SW London. I’ve acquired a couple of vouchers via a “no names mentioned” Golf magazine and am looking for my 1st foreign course to play with a mate.

I’ve recently taken up the game so the course should not be too much of a challenge but would like something slightly more interesting than the local course we currently play.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Wimbledon Common isn't overly testing but will offer you a good day out. Why not check out the 2-4-1 website of the book that (so I'm told - ahem! ) came with the magazine. Once you see a few you fancy put them on here and you'll definitely get some frank opinions about your choices

Thanks Homer - based purely on convenience and weekend availability, the shortlist is:

Hazlemere
Richmond
Farleigh Court
Horton Park
Pachesham Park

Any comments would be great.

Richmond is probably the least worst of that bunch....London Scottish is good but I think Wimbledon Common is a better layout ....

Problem with London Scottish and WC is that its members and members guests only at weekends. Richmond is the best layout of the rest but it will be slow

Doubt any one will be slower than us. It's not that we walk slowly it's just that by the time we've visited the fairways on either side of the hole we’re playing we've walked a couple of hundred extra yards.
