Can anyone recommend me sunglasses specifically for golf.
I'm finding the low sun, especially when reflected on wet or frosty grass, is making it almost impossible to see where my balls going.
Is there anything really effective available?

Sun!!? What is this you speak of?

Maui Jim. The best. I've a pair of Stonecrushers, polarised lenses, fantastic.

I would imagine the Oakley website is a good place to start. Personally I can't hit with sunglasses on as it seems to mess with my depth perception.

Oakley's

Yep.

I brought these today.

Cracking quality that you really can feel. Iridium lenses, uber comfortable and a lifetime guarantee

Oakley do a golf specific lens, the G30. I believe it is also available as a polarised lens.
Several frame options available as well. Check out their website.

Worth the money unless you need prescription lenses which can add £200+ to the price.

I've got a pair of Oakley's, they are polarised, and are great on the course. I wasn't sure if they were worth the money, but wouldnt be without them now, they are great in the early morning, winter sun.

Wouldn't use anyone other sunglasses - have three pairs of them plus a pair of normal glasses - best lens out there - can be got at reasonable price as well

A couple of people on this thread have mentioned golf-specific glasses - what are these? I just use a normal pair of polarised sunglasses, am I missing out on something?

They aren't golf specific per se more sports type sunglasses

The lens in Oakleys sharpen up your vision in sunlight as well as protecting your eyes

I'll add my name to the list of Oakley fans. They last superbly, I've only had 2 pairs of sunglasses in the last 14 years or so. And the Iridium polarized lenses will be exactly right for the issue the OP is describing with low sun and glare.

I wouldn't bother with the G30 lenses though. When I bought my current pair of Half Jackets I got a pair of the pink lenses as well as the black to try out (was fairly cheap as I was in the US). I almost never bother with them now, they're supposed to help with seeing contours but I can't see any difference. Only put them in when it's a little darker and I want something to protect my eyes from strong winds.

I've had a few pairs- never heard of a lifetime guarantee though? would have been useful for the last pair the legs both broke and they said "tough" basically as over a year old!
