Ive never been a fan of GPS in the past but anything to help my game :D.I'm looking to get a GPS system without any subscription and could do with some advice please and recommendation to what units best. Thanks in advance.

As Rooter has said, there are quite a few things to consider. Do you want an all singing, all dancing piece of kit that shows hazards, yardages all over, graphical representations, as a watch, or to hold, or something as simple as yardages to front, middle and back of the green?

If you're after the basics like me (which take no time at all to check so avoiding slowing people down) I just bought a Garmin Approach S2 from an ebay shop - he sells loads of them and I got lucky and picked one up for £110. All spanking new and perfect for what I wanted.
pm me if you want the chap's details.

I bought a Garmin S2 online a few weeks ago. I was a sceptic on GPS but I am a total convert now. Gives everything you could possibly need front/middle/back/lay up distances etc. it's great if your a bit wayward like myself charges really quick and I have had 36 holes out of it in one charge. No complaints from me but HID reckons it's a bit garish in white ( pmsl)

That sounds ideal I would prefer something basic, PM sent.
