Reasons To Be Cheerful [Part1]

i take these things with a pinch of salt, This was on STV news a few weeks ago that Inverness was the happiest place in the UK, was speaking to someone in Harrogate who says there was and sent me a link to prove it.

was reading the other day that Mansfield is the fourth lowest place in the country for wages. seeing that Bolsover is the most miserable place in the UK to live wonder why that is. After all its on the M1 corridor. Oh another mining area decimated. Bet the " Beast of Bolsover" is happy with that one.

I'll be happy when someone turns the temp up. Its freezing up here in Aberdeen, and has been forever apart from when we were drowning... does NE Scotland have a summer?

Think on it as my wife does......with global warming Scotland is now as warm as Devon and Cornwall was in the 1970's.
You also get the glorious northern lights of old Aberdeen as a BOGOF.

One of my neighbours lived in Aberdeen for many years and she reckoned buying summer 'clobber' was a waste of money.... Mind you, the one time we visited, it was 27 degrees and ice creams were the order of the day...

But if the Scots had voted YES for independence last year, then the weather would have been a lot warmer and everyone would be dancing in the streets eating ice cream ......

The Highlands/Scotland might be the happiest place to live but the golf is one of the most expensive in the UK from recent forray searches.

I live in Westest Wales and love it.

One thing's for sure. We're all going to the same place eventually so be happy where you are now ;)

Cheers Fade

HID has these grand ideas about decamping to Yorkshire and embracing the countryside and atmosphere, maybe opening a B&B or tea shop somewhere. Not something I fancy and don't buy into this All Creatures idyllic and romantic notion and reckon it'll be tough in the winters. I'm happier in Berkshire, close to my London roots but she seems to be getting itchy feet
