We had a Local men's inter club competition today, going out in 4 balls, followed by a seniors competition, I wanted to play so managed to get out between the two. I had to wait on every hole and it took me 4 hours to get round, however I played really well.
I decided to let the group in font of me complete each hole before I tee'ed off and I did the first 9 in 38 shots 2 over par including a 3 putt for 15 feet and putting one in a ditch, I went par, bogey (3 putt), par, par, par, par, par, double (topped one in ditch), birdie.
The 2nd nine wasn't quite so good, as I took 40 shots, again including a 3 putt, and a topped 3 wood, I went bogey, bogey, par, bogey par, bogey (3 putt), par, double, par.

I went round in 80, which is 8 over, the really annoying thing is that I dropped 6 shots on the par 5s, the holes I normally score better on.

Maybe all I need to is start playing slowly, I do normally play very quickly. Let's see how I do in the GMOOM tomorrow and the 2 comps at Ellesmere in the next few days.

There is a lot to be said for playing with focus, not slowly. The fact you had the tie to focus on each shot sounds like it helped. We've all had rounds where it feels like we are rushing or playing at the pace of others in the group

Well done Louise just coming into form at the right time for the GMNWOOM good luck at Preston tomorrow very good track hope it stays dry for you.

oops, should have read back in 42.

DQ for signing a score below returned. Oh wait your gross at each hole was correct. I'll just the the committee to adjust it. ;)

Seriously though that is good shooting Louise. Keep it up and you'll hit that target :)
