I think you'll get the usual response to this as " if you dont want the new tm product then don't buy it" people must have deep pockets as they seem to sell alot of clubs.
I personally find it very annoying when you folk out for the new gear to be told its been bettered and improved 6 months later. If i didnt get my sldr for trade price i would have waited until January and picked one up for a song
And clearly the problem is that people aren't buying it, or else the golf retailers wouldn't be laying folk off. They're ending up with huge amounts of stock that has to be heavily discounted because it's only been out 5 months but the mags are already previewing the next issue.
And the reason folk aren't buying it is because you and I and many others know they we'll be mugged if we pay full retail.
It's getting harder and harder to convince golfers that the new driver can really give you a £350 improvement on your game. In reality we realise it might make you a wee bit longer or a wee bit straighter than last years one, nut if you want that wee improvement then just hang on for a dozen or so rounds and get £150 off
