Realising a Lifetime Goal

Hi All,

My lifetime personal goal is to be a cat 2 golfer, I set that goal many years ago as I thought it was as good as I could get. Today I received my handicap and is it now down to 12 and into cat 2. This is a small thing to many here but it is a huge thing to me. I practice tirelessly, till my hands bleed, in rain and snow storms and this is the big ego boost I have worked so hard to enjoy.

As it happens I believe that the new handicap secretary has made a mistake and I believe I should actually have been given 10 as a handicap, I do not however think I could play off that so will not be chasing it up as he knows better than me.... maybe.

So, 12 handicap...... Ill never find a doubles partner again......


I know its a me me me post but I wanted to share my huge excitement and pride at what I have achieved, I don't think I have ever been so proud of myself. A special feeling.

Judging by a video I have seen on here you don't look over the hill so that lifetime objective needs to be re-jigged I think

Well done Alex, single figures must be the next target. No reason why you can't get there if you keep the same work ethic that you had to get down to cat 2.

Short answer is best card was +12 to SSS, in there was an 8 on a par 4 that should have been rounded to a 6
