I wouldn't be sad to see the back of the vile one. He should have been banned from the English game after the biting incident IMO.

Suarez would be a loss to the English game imo. Ok, he does have balance issues, but he's a supremely talented player and a joy to watch when he's performing. What you would call a bums on seats player.

Signed a new contract in Jan with a very big release clause ( over £90mil )

He is happy at the club and helping us get back to where we belong and hopefully winning more trophies

Don't see him going anywhere at the moment

I hope not for Liverpool's sake Phil, but Real would be a helluva draw for most players and difficult to knock back.

No doubt it is a massive draw for most players but I would be surprised if they could actually afford him after splashing out £100mil on Bale - they would need more for us to sell.

The one area i was impressed last summer was the way the club dealt with Suarez. We as a club told him that we had the power and not him. He sulked a bit then he got himself back into the squad and reports and talk from everyone is that he is loving life at the moment

Yep, the club certainly stood their ground. Who knows, maybe the promise of a couple of big names coming in along with the guaranteed CL next year will be enough to keep him....oh and a possible league winners medal too.

There was no stitch up - he thought there was a release clause that meant we "had" to accept a bid when no such clause was there

But he could have sulked and he could have gone on striker but we stood our ground with him and have reaped the rewards.

We can stand our ground with him again if needed.

If Madrid want him they'll get him. If they can get Ronaldo from UTD they'll have no problem getting Suarez from Liverpool. Players dream of playing for Madrid.

80 million is a different matter, I don't think there's a team out there( apart from maybe city and PSG, and barca for Messi ) that would turn that down for a player.

I think we would because i think the owners value the players above the fee - they are reported to be willing to already spend big to boost the squad for next years Cl campaign ( know the scouting team have sorted out a number of targets already both home and abroad ). And i still cant see Suarez wanting to go .

At the end of the day i think its typical lazy journos create stories just before a match. All last summer Madrid were supposedly after Suarez and Bale - not even a call from Madrid about him

I agree. Apparently Rodgers will be handed £60m in the transfer market,it's not pea nuts but it's hardly big money at today's rate. Especially for a squad to compete in the CL aswell as the Prem.
This shows where Liverpool are financially. We shall see what happens.
