My shaft broke on my Nike CPR 22 degree hybrid where it joins the head. Do I get it re-shafted for £25 or buy a new hybrid, something like md golf superstrong for £40 or wilson fybrid for £45?

if it's a graphite shaft then I'd probably look to change the club, if it's steel then probably go for it. Don't limit yourself to md or wilson though, personally I'd look for a Cleveland classic hybrid, they can be had cheap and are belters.

It's a graphite shaft. Will they simply put a new shaft in or re-use the existing? If new shaft why does the material matter?

no they'll have to use a new shaft, for the price of a shaft I'd buy a new club, if not I'd ask which shaft they are putting in as it's unlikely to have the same profile as your existing one.

Yes. New shaft required.

If you got on with the club before the shaft broke, then I believe it's worth re-shafting. If you didn't get on with it, then it makes a reasonable paperweight!
