It's time to re-grip the old sticks! Has anyone done this recently and if so, what grips would you recommend? :D

Cheers,

I am scared to type this but hey what the hell ......

Get custom fitted !!!!!!!!!

If you have large hands it would be daft to get standard grips on your clubs. Ask your pro to measure your paws !!!

Lamkin crossline, cheap yet effective, still the grip of choice for many pros ie Annika S.

If you dont want to visit a pro have a look at Ping's website fitting chart, by measuring wrist to end of middle finger you'll get a good idea whether you should be on standard or midsize or even jumbo grips (if you have hands like shovels).

Agree with Toonarmy on this one. Just fitted three new grips last night from this place. They have an advice sheet you can download if you need it. Changing a grip is no problem if you take it slowly, don't rush, be carefull with the knife when removing old grip and line the grip up with final tweeks before the grip tape gets too set when drying out.

Done several clubs over the years and all been Ok.

I've used gamola golf too, would recommend, have fast delivery. Have changed many sets of grips, only advice is use the solvent based strips (much easier than tape) rather than the water based ones - you have far`longer to get the position correct before they set and the grips go on much easier too.

I would go for the red grips mate, they seem to match all the irons you are thinking of in my eyes the 755 are the best looking.

Not a big fane of the lightning bolt going across them, they both look a bit tacky and cheap with it on.

The AP1 look a bit 80s

Same as the AP2 I loved the look of them on my first viewings, but have become bored of their old fashioned design
