but what were you focusing on?

Hope that you took the time to say hello and congratulate her on a great year.

What was her practice focused on? Probably not smacking ball after ball into the wide blue yonder like the rest of us..............

remember hitting balls once only to hear a constant clip coming from the guy practising behind me. After a while turned round to see Simon Khan practising. I hit a couple more but decided I'd get far more from the session by stopping and just watching him!
 
Truthfully, she hit about 10 balls and called it a day - so I finished her basket for her :-)

The sun was right in our eyes so hard to assess ball flight, and she seemed preoccupied with her mobile phone! I'm guessing some much needed down-time and catch up with friends before the season starts.
 
Had a guy from the challenge tour next to me few weeks ago at world of golf new malden. He had his name on his bag so looked him up.

He was striping the ball so effortless, did make me up my game watching him!


Charlie Hull is a quality one, hope you congratulated her on the great win a few weeks ago.
 
Other than Peter Dawson, who teaches at the range I use the only other famous person I have had next to me was Damon Hill.

He hit the ball well but was not very approachable.

I didn't when she came in - just thought she looked familiar and probably a junior I'd come across somewhere! Then I caught her swing out of the corner of my eye and realised who it was!

Maybe not but the moment they start hitting the ball you would know something was very different. The sound, the ball flight, the distance. They are all different to normal golfers. That and the huge tour bag with their name on it usually gives them away 😁.
