After 4 days of rain our course has become saturated. For the first time I can remember (apart from snow) the front nine has been closed and the back nine may also be closed tomorrow after a review. Our course normally drains very well and was one of the last ones in the area to stay open. How is everybody else's course faring? Will the rain ever stop? :(

The rain will stop sometime. In fact it has been dry all day here so far!! My course back home never shuts regardless of the weather, even if there is snow down and somebody turns up to pay and play you will get a game, I shudder to think the state it is in as I have not been on it for a while due to being back at college.

Hasn't shut yet this year. Am playing it tomorrow and expecting it to be wet, but I'll keep the trolley on the paths and use a fairway mat. We're on full greens and they're still in good condition considering...

Not going to be down at the course now until the weekend after this one as I'm at a wedding back home - that said, for the first time in a while, not feeling down about not being able to play! Has been stoooopidly wet on the last few rounds and waterproof bottoms are getting sick of the washing machine!

Going down the range every couple of nights and enjoying hitting balls and bedding in some new things. Only problem with this weather is that I'm constantly looking at new gear. In fact, I'm very proud of myself as there's a RBZ II 4 hybrid which I was considering having a play with about to end on th'ebay for £49.99 and I'm not going to. Nope. Not even tempted. Nope. Damn too late.

Range again this evening, anyone in West London is welcome to join!

Holes 2-6 closed has been for the most of 2014. But i believe its only cos the 3rd hole does not drain well and is unplayable. Its at the top of the list for work out on the course so hopefully it will get sorted soon.

Whickham is not normally closed, except for snow, but with all the rain we've had, it's now closed, was looking forward to playing in the sweep on Monday, but the forecast looks rubbish, so it may just have to be the driving range.

14 holes open on 2 temps and playing ok yesterday but LOTS of water around rather menacingly! Wouldn't be surprised if we're closed tomorrow though as rained on and off most of the day. Just home from the range and a few new water features there too!

Not too bad a day here today. Cold and a bit dull but dry and the greens were cut a week ago so were running lovely today.

Another game on the cards tomorrow as it will be dry again and apparently the sun is due to put in an appearance. :D :fore:

Played Monday and the back 9 was closed - to be honest the front 9 should have been as well.
Only played 9 as I didn't fancy trolling through nearly ankle deep mud and puddles - the left side of our 6th was 3 inches deep in water.
It rained a lot of Tuesday, it's rained most of today too.
Thought about a bash tomorrow but I can't see it being playable after today - and the forecast says more rain tomorrow.
Might just be ok for the Friday Bash but I'm not holding my breath.

Our club tries to stay open if it can, for the first time they are asking players to tee it up on the fairways during the week. Not my cup of tea so will leave it until the weekend.
