Hi All,

Im finding lots of drivers way too loud these days. Dont want to end up with tinnitus through enjoying golf.

What are the quietest/least harsh sounding drivers of the last 5 years or so?

Cheers.

I'm using a Callaway Diablo driver. It wont make the Driver of the Year or top 10 of all time but it goes well and makes a decent yet calm sound.

Worst sound was one I heard a few weeks ago. It was an older Cobra Driver. Horrible, awful. The whole course heard it, everyone cringed when they did.

I think most if not all Callaway drivers I've heard have had a very dull muted sound.

Play a Nike Sumo for a couple of rounds then everything will sound quiet. :D

oh god yeah

Mate of mine still has one and when it is hit at the driving range (under cover) it sounds horrendous. Loud enough to trigger my PSTD

terrible contraption

I like loud, put the fear of god into your pp's as you smack it off the tee 😜

I'd say some of the Cobra drivers can be pretty loud. Hurts your ears at times when PP uses these things!!!

Thanks for the (sensible) replies everyone.

Got to hit a few drivers yesterday and liked the sound of the nike ones, cobra king ltd and the m2. G30 was horrendous and titleist 915 was pretty loud and harsh as well.

I like mine to sound like a steel band!

If we are being serious, the r11 made a sold crunch sound, if not the original AMP was also very quiet and traditional.

I've still got an AMP in the cupboard somewhere. When I changed to that from an old mizuno, it was noticeably better. The mizuno sounded horrendous.
