Just watching the news and by hell you lads, especially the west and central lads have had some bloody rain today!!

I had a conversation with a club manager in Inverclyde today who said his greenkeeper had recorded 2.5 inches of rain in 24 hours and he reckoned it would be a while before his track re-opened.

Head for the links boys!!

Not much better for the English! Cumbria has had another soaking, my place is under water. Its no wonder there are a lots of lakes around here.

No doubt the southern guys will still be getting run on their fairways;)

It's chuffing humping it doon here :( looked at the forecast as I was supposed to be playing sat and sun ha! nae chance 50 mph winds think I will just stay in the boozer ;)

Vale of Leven was soaked last week so god knows what it's like now, not even going to bother going near it. HID was meant to be out for a round with the Lady Captain on Thursday - doubt that will happen

We had 60 to 70 MPH gusts on Saturday, hit one drive that went 56 yards, the guys i was playing with all laughed, untill they hit theirs:):)

60yards

I'm playing a society tie at The Glen at North Berwick tomorrow (receiving 14 shots! ;) ), so hoping that the course has held up ok.

Gourock will be like a swamp land now. God knows after todays rain when it will be playable.

Who were you talking to Dodger?

Was hoping to go down to Dumfriesshire for a game this weekend but seen some of the pictures on Facebook - do motocaddy do a floating attachment for their trolleys?!

Certainly extreme conditions.

Andy and Iain G already have an invite to Bogside some weekend, if they want to play this Saturday just let me know and if anyone else wants to join us let me know. Have the last of visitors tickets to use up.
Would hope to be on the tee around 8.30

Well, I played the Lansdowne this morning, and apart from having to negotiate snow on the road over, it was a pleasant day. Five winter greens but can't complain this time last year we were knee deep in snow and the course didn't reopen for four months!

I thought our greens were a tad slow on Saturday, but it might have been a bit of late dew. Almost a half club wind so not easy out there.;)
