Have just been browsing on yourgolftravel and noticed the belfry with an offer for £69 1 night and 2 rounds of golf im looking to book this but theres a few things i need help with

1) is it any good? i presume it will be and for that deal it seems excelllent value
2) is there a handicap limit i cant find anything that says there will be online but i dont want to turn up and them ask for handicap certificates etc

cheers

Which courses ?

The PGA is decent as is the Brabazon but the Derby is not very good IMO

The reason why its cheap at the moment is because the place is one big building site. The new owners are spending 35 million on it and they seem to want to do all the work in one go. So expect disruption with parking and booking in. However most of the rooms and all three resturants are finished so enjoy great food but at ass raping prices.

For that price i'm guessing its the derby and pga. The derby for some reason plays better than the pga at this time of the year in terms of drainage. although all the bunkers on the par 3's are GUR as they are changing them to pot hole bunkers

As for handicap certs, dont worry. Me and daveyboy hack the be-jesus out of both courses with no bother from the green keepers. Saves them a job turning the soil over

Derby is playing better than the PGA Hover? You mad the PGA was bone dry today and in fantastic condition

Your golf travel are offering the derby and a nights stay for £49. £99 gets you the derby and brabazon and I am sure davey and hovis will both say pay the extra £20 to play the PGA instead of the derby

Yes pay the £20 its worth its weight in gold to get on the PGA over the Derby

I would say its worth the upcharge but some folk want a easyer game for a bit of relief after the brabazon. Going onto the pga the next day can make you want to hang from the nearest tree!

hi guys thanks for the info the deal is for the pga and the derby courses
Both great Courses this time if the year. I would advise you to take some old rubish balls to use on the pga. My playing partner says "what course we playing today? The derby or the ball eater"

Played the Derby two weeks ago, great condition both fairways and greens, but as reported elsewhere some bunkers are GUR due to ongoing works.

For 69 notes you would struggle to find a bettter deal
