Can anyone tell me if you still have to tag each shot on Game Golf Live? I have the original but Live is £100 off on Amazon prime for the next 20 minutes and am tempted...

Yes you still tag the shot it's just paired to your phone via Bluetooth to update live.

I now use live for all my practise rounds, use for both recording and as a GPS, I like the fact it automatically uploads and posts the round (if you wish), switches off the tagging device, then you can edit round later if required.
Found very useful when away playing a few rounds over a few days, as once uploaded it deletes the round off the device saving memory.
Minor details, but still useful.

My phone is plugged into the USB charger on my trolley or you press the screen lock between shots when carrying.

I have poor signal at the club and no WiFi. Couldn't start round with live device. Red button was blank. What have I done wrong? This was on an android phone
Got back and paired with iPhone and appears you can download the course. Is that correct.

I do the same but guess it's because the signal isn't the best at the course it's using more battery

It's probably the lack of signal that causes it as it needs the phone signal for the gps to work
